This is a remote, home-based position.

Scopic Software is the largest virtual software company in the world. We have over 200 employees in 25 different countries. All employees work from home. We develop custom software applications for clients in North America and Europe. The company is looking to hire a talented DevOpsEngineer. Work hours are flexible. Projects are interesting and challenging.

This position has the following responsibilities:
• Building in-house tools or adapting 3rd party tools to simplify and automate the management of the AWS instances needed to service our SaaS customers.
• Helping the development team to create a build-and-release process where new releases can be easily and seamlessly merged into the live SaaS deployment.
• Operationally managing our AWS SaaS instances.
• Addressing server-related customer support issues, including working directly with customers.
• Helping the development team to determine the best ways to package our software for on-premise deployment by customers.

This is a full-time position.

Required Skills:
• Good English reading and writing skills.
• Solid scripting experience using either Python, Ruby or Groovy.
• Experience with both using and scripting basic AWS services, such as SC2, S3 and VPC.
• Ability to overlap a significant amount with US EST business hours.
• Interest and discipline to work effectively from home.

Desired Skills:
• Good English speaking skills.
• Good Javascript programming skills.
• BASH or Powershell scripting experience.
• Previous experience deploying and supporting an SaaS application.

Hourly rate range is $12-$20/hour depending on skills and experience.
