POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Pre-Sales Engineer (PSE) supports sales productivity and deal flow by securing the “technical close” in complex ICT solutions. The PSE collaborates with IT, sales, and partners’ resources to ensure proposed deals include technical solutions that accurately address customer needs, and are appropriately supported by key customer technical decision-makers.

Duties:
Supports the design, analysis, development and implementation of ICT solutions of projects and/or work requests for different business solutions.
Determines proposal concept by identifying and clarifying opportunities and needs; studying requests for proposal (RFPs)
Develops technical proposals by assembling information including project nature, objectives/outcomes/deliverables, implementation, methods, timetable, staffing, budget, standards of performance, and evaluation; writing, revising, and editing drafts including executive summaries, conclusions, and organization credentials.
Proactively scopes the technical solution required to address customer requirements, assesses customers’ met and unmet needs, and recommends solutions that optimize value for both the customer and the firm.
Secures input from all necessary solution stakeholders within the customer firm and from partners. Adapts solutions, as necessary, to ensure appropriate support.
Coordinates closely with internal sales, sales support, and service resources to align solution design with customers’ business requirements.
Completes required training and development objectives within the assigned time frame.
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; maintaining personal networks.

Requirements:
Bachelor and Master degree from an accredited institution in IT field.
Minimum 3 years IT experience in a business-to-business, large/strategic customer segment.
A record of achievement and technical solution expertise in a comparable role.
Product certification, engineering credential, or equivalent technical credential. Cisco, Microsoft, Oracle, IBM certifications are desirable.
Knowledge in Project Management and ITIL practices – preferable.
