Role purpose:
Contribute to the activities of the regional engineering execution team within Data Core focusing on the countries of the respective cluster, being accountable for the low level design, implementation and optimization of one or more network elements of the Data Core systems and networks in those countries.
With focus on a specific area of competence (PS core network element, data platform and so on) manage all the relevant relationships with the local stakeholders in the cluster countries, in particular network operations and other local teams for the implementation of normal network capacity management or configuration activities, special projects or the handling of emergency situations.
Be accountable for all optimisation activities within Data Core in those countries and be directly involved in all performance analysis and improvements devised as necessary.

Key accountabilities and decision ownership:
•With focus on a specific area of competence contribute to the implementation of the Data Core Network Evolution Plan in the local country
-Align and steer local engineering implementation in the cluster countries to the regional strategy and roadmap
-Report to planning teams local implementation progress and gap towards network plan
•Contribute to the definition and maintenance of the country Data Core Low Level Design
oin line with Planning Design and Dimensioning guidelines and directives for the region, define the detailed configuration to be applied (parametrization, licence configuration, and so on)
oadjusting the detail to its local applicability in the cluster countries
- respecting security guidelines
-support Planning Design and Dimensioning in local testing activities
•Direct management of the interface with regional and local in-country operations teams
oDefining, planning and scheduling all data core network activities and interventions
-Being accountable for those activities and analysing/reporting relevant issues concerning risk, cost/benefit, effectiveness and efficiency
-Mobilising and coordinating all required engineering efforts in case of emergencies related to Data Core networks
-Support to troubleshooting activities
-Supporting in country teams of Local Markets included in the cluster, for facing important Country related issues and for projects status updating
•Support the engineering team dealing with Data Core networks in the cluster countries:
-Being accountable for all optimization activities
-Guaranteeing the required support to local initiatives
-Engaging with relevant local stakeholders as needed
•Contribute to the data core budget execution in the cluster countries and active promotion of benchmarking across countries in the cluster, aligning with best applied practices and harmonizing design whenever possible
Core competencies, knowledge and experience:
•Deep knowledge of architecture and protocols and IP network design in a Data core network
•Sensitivity to operational and execution challenges and attitude to troubleshooting and problem solving
•End-2-end visibility and comprehension of and issues in the specific countries of the cluster (ALBANIA)
•Support the identification of opportunities for in country improvements within Data Core in line with regional strategy, analysing potential risks of that strategy for these specific countries and supporting Planning Design and Dimensioning team to adjust/improve the plan if needed.
•Strong established relationships with key stakeholders in the cluster countries, namely with local operational and commercial/demand teams and stakeholders.
•Team working and sharing of know-how with local team and Data Core planning, design and engineering team
Must have technical / professional qualifications:
•University degree: telecommunication degree,.
•Solid knowledge of NW design / architecture and CORE NW experience
•CISCO/Juniper Network certifications (e.g. CCNA, CCNP etc)
•Operational experience
•Strong performance & customer orientation
•Results oriented
•Trouble shooting capabilities and problem solving attitude.
•Exposure to operational environments and projects
•Established networking in the countries of the cluster.
•Data service performance management experience
•Established networking or closeness with other engineering domains also deeply impacting performance such as transmission, radio, etc.
