The Rogner hotel's in-house restaurant is named after the ancient Greco-Roman city 100km or so south of the capital, although there's nothing ancient or crumbling about the place at all. Specialising in Albanian, Austrian and Mediterranean food, Apollonia is one of Tirana's best white tablecloth experiences. Refreshingly expensive and for good reason, dining in the wonderful garden here is one of the highlights of any stay in the city, especially if the bill's getting picked up on your expense account. The restaurant also lays on arguably the finest breakfast in Albania.
