Job position: Business Analyst
Department: Information Systems
Reports to: Information Systems Director
Location: Tirana

Purpose of work:
This position is responsible for gathering and understanding the business needs of Balfin Group Companies. The Business Analyst will ensure that the requirements are accurately translated in system developments. This position will be working across a range of projects which vary in complexity and with different teams to achieve efficient delivery of the required functionalities. He/she will also be tasked with the analyzing business processes within Balfin Group and recommending projects to improve the effectiveness of those processes.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis.
Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal parties to analyse information needs and functional requirements and deliver the following artefacts as needed: Business Requirements Document, Use Cases, GUI, Screen and Interface designs
Utilize his/her experience in using company-wide requirements definition and management systems and methodologies required.
Work independently with users to define concepts and under direction of project managers
Drive and challenge business units on their assumptions of how they will successfully execute their plans
Serves as the conduit between the users’ community and the Information Systems team through which requirements flow.
Develop requirements specifications according to standard templates, using natural language.
Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyse trade-offs between usability and performance needs.
Be the liaison between the business units, technology teams and support teams.

Time Allocation:
30% capturing business needs and shaping requirements through dialogue with business sponsors,
20% understanding end-user requirements,
25% working on solution design and communicating with IT Department
10% project management,
10% project support for Go-Live Phase
5% testing

Qualifications and Skills:
Strong analytical and product management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
Bachelor’s degree (Business Degree preferred)
Basic understanding of information technology and business concepts
Familiarity with general business functions
Organisational and planning skills to manage your time and to meet deadlines and objectives.
Initiative and the ability to offer new ideas.
Personal commitment to improving your own knowledge and skills.
Able to cope with stress / deliver within tight deadlines
Able to work in group
Smart and Confident
Experience in Information Systems and/or working in related fields is an advantage.
Must be able to work overtime if needed
Must have excellent knowledge in English
