We are looking for an outsourced candidate for the position of
LEGAL & REGULATORY AFFAIRS CONSULTANT
to cover Macedonia, Albania and Kosovo markets
located in the capital city of Macedonia/ Kosovo/ Albania (ALMAKO Cluster).

BAT ALMAKO markets are part of the 9 entities within the Central Europe Cluster (CEC), all bonded by a unique strategy and a strong team mindset that nurtures diversity as one of the key strengths of our winning organization.

Duties:
•Supports the development of and recommended approach to (positions, advocacy and research) priority regulatory issues impacting BAT’s business in the markets of Macedonia, Albania and Kosovo.
•Contributes and supports the execution of the Regulatory Campaign Plan including target setting and measurement.
•Monitors the legislative/regulatory environment in order to compile intelligence reports for timely management decision making and to shape the Regulatory Campaign Plan.
•Supports BAT in discussions involving industry partners, competitors, on common environmental challenges, to ensure that BAT is positioned as the industry leader.
•Works with partner external organisations and stakeholders to gain their assistance, or to enable them to lead on mutual environmental challenges to help increase the effectiveness of our programmes.
•Builds strong alliances and effective networks with wider BAT Group LEX community to ensure two way flow of communications on local issues.
•Coordinates regulatory compliance activities to ensure that all requirements are identified and all accompanying documentation and information is submitted in a timely manner.
•Ensures all commercial relationships are constructed in compliance with BAT Competition Law Governance Framework and monitors the same for continued compliance.
•Reviews all proposed marketing activities for assigned markets to ensure that they are compliant with local legislation and the International Marketing Principles.
•Provides Brand team with legal advice on proposed campaigns, product & packaging developments and marketing activities.
•Reviews and drafts all customer related contracts including Sales & Marketing/ Distribution Agreements, etc.

Requirements:
•Qualified Lawyer from Macedonia, Kosovo or Albania, with 3 to 5yrs experience in Commercial law and Regulation
•Exposure to Regulatory Management and Government Affairs
•Excellent business acumen and commercial awareness
•Commercial Contract experience (buy & sell)
•Marketing support experience in FMCG
•Good project management skills
•Able to think and operate strategically at all levels
•Good interpersonal and communication skills, able to influence key internal stakeholders.
•Fluency in English (written and spoken)
•High level PC skills (LN, Word, Excel, PP, etc.)
•Ideally to speak as a mother tongue or second language, Albanian and Macedonian/ Serbian.
