Job scope:
We are looking for a Developer with at least 5 years’ experience developing back end solutions for websites and web applications, for working whit UK clients of our company .You will be proficient writing and reviewing code in PHP and JavaScript, with appropriate HTML and CSS skills. A key skill you value is problem solving and developing the architecture for applications such as large scale user systems. You’ll be an advocate of agile processes and appreciate the value of good documentation.

Overall responsibility:
The role is in building out new features for websites, both existing and new, as well as the management of the maintenance of current sites – including the application code as well as data structures, so a good level of SQL knowledge is essential. Experience of server admin is an advantage, as is the architecture of web applications such as cloud, Amazon etc…

Key responsibility areas:
Senior back End Developer
– Develop well documented, standards compliant and efficient code
– Design and maintain databases
– Contribute to the architecture and scoping process of new builds
– Deploy and maintain websites, in the test and live environments
– Identify any workload issues, but deliver on commitments made
– Take responsibility for own personal development by staying current with trends, relevant articles and suggestions for training.
– Travel to off-site locations when necessary.

Performance standards:
– Deliverables meet the brief
– Deliverables are standards compliant
– Deliverables are extensible and scalable and re-use is born in mind throughout the development cycle
– Status of the delivery of all work is communicated effectively
– Work is carried out in a cost-effective and time-effective manner
– Work is delivered to agreed deadlines
– Work carried out with other team members is done collaboratively and with shared responsibility
– Maintain a professional attitude and demeanour at all times
– Communication with colleagues and clients is professionally presented and well written

Required skills:
– Demonstrable ability to translate requirements into code
– Excellent technical skills – the ability to write clean code
– Excellent problem solving skills
– Excellent PHP skills with Symphony and wider MVC experience
– Good SQL development skills with POSTGRES experience
– Experience with NGINX
– Good written skills
– Good communication skills
– Master in using source control system (GIT)
– Experience in using Continuous Integration systems such as Bamboo and Jenkins
