ANTEA Cement Sh.A., subsidiary of TITAN Cement Company S.A., has invested in Albania by constructing a technologically advanced cement Plant, and invites qualified professionals to join our Laboratory Department in the following position:
Head of Chemical Lab
Reference Code 28

Duties:
•Develops, sets up and ensures safe working conditions for the staff in chemical laboratory.
•Carries out daily control of XRF (X-Ray Analyser) and ensures accurate measurements.
•Performs corrections and recalibrations of XRF in case of probable deviance. Sets up new calibration curves for different materials within satisfactory accuracy.
•Changes detector gas cylinder and performs parameters alignment.
•Carries out weekly control of Blaine meter, ensures accurate measurements, recalibration in case of deviances, and in case of different cement composition type will be measured.
•Carries out control of QCX software (Quality Controller by X-Rays) and sets up logical operational parameters, required from Quality Control Manager for a better controlling performance of production.
•Performs weekly control of Fuse beads preparation machine, and ensures good performance of it.
•Carries out weekly control of automatic pressing pellets module (POLAB APM) and ensures a satisfactory working performance.
•Carries out weekly control of Bomb Calorimeter, ensures safe usage, accurate measurements, and good performance of instrument.
•Carries out recalibrations and corrections in order to ensure accurate measurements, in case of deviance.
•Assists the Quality Control Manager by suggesting new improvements and new applications for a good performance of the department.
•Performs training for new employees, following the training program suggested by QC Manager according to the job specifications.
•Orders new equipment, spare parts, lab wares and chemical reagents as needed.
•Prepares several reports and studies and carries out several tests or analysis.
•Other related duties.

Requirements:
•University degree, Chemist or Chemical Engineer required.
•Basic skills and knowledge in electrical and mechanical understanding point of view.
•Skills in industrial chemical processes and technology.
•Good knowledge in Computer usage, office package and several software.
•Good skills in English language.
•Organization and teamwork skills.
•Previous similar work experience is advantageous.
