Position:
Graphic Designer / Web & Software Application Design (GUI / UX)

What You Bring In:
We are looking for a passionate graphic designer with a keen eye for beautiful and unique compositions, able to envision and implement user-friendly interfaces for websites and software applications of different natures. The candidate that will join our team will also have the opportunity to assist in various design-related tasks within the company. He / she has experience with web design, (G)UI and UX design (focusing on mobile apps design).
As a confident and customer-oriented person, you have good communication skills in English or German (spoken and written).

Responsibilities:
Design premium websites (web design) and great software applications (G)UI and UX, from concept to the delivery of production-ready files, accounting for a high degree of adaptability and responsiveness to modern media and platforms

Understand customer and project-specific needs and requirements
Derive from them / translate them into an initial visual representation of the future product by creating conceptual and demo designs in the form of sketches, wireframes, prototypes and mock-ups
Based on the concept, create diverse layout models which are intuitive and compositions with clean design and unique style (look and feel) that match requirements and are conform design standards, by using off-the-shelf resources and / or by creating and combining elements from scratch
Present the design to the customer – create moodboards, etc.
Continuously communicate and proactively collaborate with the team AND the customer by offering advice and consultancy, proposing solutions to design problems and co-adjusting related requirements to best fit the purpose and improve the final design; if necessary, adapt and develop the design by creating revisions / multiple versions
Identify design problems and solve them with clarity and precision; make, communicate, defend and implement design decisions
Finalize the design and deliver its elements optimized and ready for production, as required
Keep an eye on the production phase of the software development cycle
Assist in multimedia content creation, optimization and integration
Pay attention to detail, ensuring that a standard level of quality is maintained and reflected throughout the whole work process

Other tasks…
Contribute in company’s brand identity development by providing creative input and performing design work regarding various aspects, including marketing-related ones – advertising, promotions, etc.
Assist in research, discovery, collection and management of design resources / digital assets and multimedia resources library
Assist in covering other company’s needs that require applied graphic design skills and knowledge, such as information visualization and presentation for different scopes and media (new media, traditional / printed material, etc.), graphic illustrations and image manipulation.

Skills / Requirements:
You have knowledge about graphical user interfaces, user interaction & user experience concepts; primarily, you design for the web and mobile
Throughout your work, you rely on technical skills, good design principles and practices; you understand the importance of optimizing the final product and account for responsiveness
You are proficient in using Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and / or similar, related design software
Preferably, you are aware of the availability of additional, auxiliary tools and are able to use them accordingly throughout the design process
Ideally, you have a basic understanding on how a website and / or app is developed and how involved technologies work in principle (especially ‘front-end / client-side’ technologies)
In addition, any specialized knowledge / experience on one or more of the following fields, would be a bonus:

Having an Artistic Background
