Islamic Relief Worldwide is a UK based international relief and development charity, which aims to alleviate the suffering of the world’s poorest people.
We are an independent Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) founded in the UK in 1984.

Islamic Relief Worldwide - Albania Office requires to employ:
Position title: Orphans and Child Welfare Officer
Location: Korca, Albania
Contract Duration:One year with possibility of extension

Duties:
1. Assists the OTO Programme with overall responsibility for the orphans welfare programme implemented in Korca region.
2. Responsible of the ownership of all orphans in Korca Region.
3. Maintain the primary request for sponsorship made by widows/orphans relatives.
4. Collect Biodata information based on the primary request database.
5. Uploads orphans' biodata online based on OTO sponsorship criteria’s.
6. Uploads orphans' progress report online.
7. Maintains a computerized database of orphans in Korca and keep it as the reference.
8. Assists the OTO programme in orphan’s home visits and data collection.
9. Assists the OTO programme during quarter meetings.
10. Keep a copy of each Orphan file of Korca Region.
11. Submit a weekly report to OM.
12. Performs any other duties as and when required by the management.

Qualifications, Experience and Requirements:
1. University degree (preferably in English/social sciences)
2. Well developed interpersonal and team skills and proven ability of flexibility in demanding situations.
4. Previous work experience, ideally with non-governmental organizations as well as in orphans/children activities, would be an advantage.
5. Good Knowledge of English and Albania.
6. Knowledge of another foreign language is an asset.
7. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook Express
8. Willing to travel and work beyond working hours to meet deadlines.
